The sewing project plays a significant role in our goal to empower local women and assist them in improving their status within the community.
Recently we purchased four sewing machines as a result of a generous financial donation which was specifically donated for the sewing project. The idea behind the sewing project is that eventually with the correct training techniques applied, local women will be able to reproduce menstrual kits supplied by Days For Girls as well as producing water filtration sacks.
We are currently working with senior tailors to edit the design of the reusable materials. In the first week of September we will be conducting the trainer’s refresher training therefore production work can almost commence straight away.
We wholeheartedly thank the individual for their generous donation which has made the sewing project a reality.
A big thank you to Redefined Ministries for all the work you are doing to improve the lives of women in the DRC!
